The biblical Hebrew conjunction always attaches directly to the front of a word. It doesn’t exist independently. You will encounter several different forms of the conjunction in biblical Hebrew. The exact form depends on the consonants and vowels that are present at the beginning of the word to which the conjunction is attached.
